European stock markets are poised for a significant relief rally as futures tracking major indexes jumped on Wednesday morning. The surge follows optimistic comments from United States President Donald Trump suggesting that a month-long conflict in the Middle East may be nearing an imminent resolution.
At 0643 GMT, futures for the pan-European STOXX 600 climbed 2.78%. Regional benchmarks also saw substantial gains, with the GLOBAL X DAX GERMANY ETF tracking contracts in Germany rising by 2.7%, while futures for the X CAC 40 1D in France advanced by 2%.
