EU unlikely to reach agreement on Russian sanctions today

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas says member states will likely fail to agree on new Russian sanctions today. Hungary continues to block the latest package.

European Union member states are unlikely to reach an agreement on a proposed new package of sanctions against Russia RURU at a meeting scheduled for today, Monday. The lack of consensus among the member states is expected to prevent the bloc from adopting the proposed measures during the current EU foreign ministers meeting.
