The administration in the United States announced on Wednesday a temporary suspension of federal anti-smog regulations for seasonal gasoline blends to address rising costs following the conflict with Iran. This waiver, issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), permits the sale of cheaper fuel formulations, including E15 blends that contain 15% ethanol, which are normally prohibited during warmer months. The policy is set to take effect for 20 days starting May 1 and may be extended if necessary.
