EDF Invests 117 Million Dollars in Nuclear Factory
The French utility will build a facility in eastern France to produce heat exchangers for future reactors. Production is scheduled to begin by 2030.
Electricite de France has announced a significant investment of nearly 100 million euros ($117.33 million) to establish a new manufacturing facility in France. The plant, which will be operated by its subsidiary Arabelle Solutions, is dedicated to producing critical components for the next generation of nuclear power projects.
Located in the Saone-et-Loire region of eastern France, the factory will focus on the production of heat exchangers. Manufacturing of the first equipment is scheduled to begin in 2030, marking a pivotal step in the utility's long-term infrastructure strategy. This move comes as the energy sector sees shifting dynamics involving major players like ENGIE and other regional utilities.
