Ecuador doubles tariffs on Colombian goods to 100 percent

The government of Ecuador announced on Thursday that it will increase tariffs on imports from Colombia to 100%, doubling the previous rate of 50%. The move follows allegations from Quito that its neighbor has failed to implement sufficient security measures along their shared border.
