Dubai restricts foreign flights to one per day until May 31
Dubai restricted foreign airlines to one daily flight until May 31. Indian carriers face revenue losses and are seeking government intervention for relief now.
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have restricted foreign airlines to a single daily flight until May 31, citing the ongoing regional crisis involving Iran. This measure has triggered significant concerns over potential revenue losses among carriers from India, which had scheduled more flights to the hub than airlines from any other nation. The Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA), representing major carriers including INTERGLOBE AVIATION LTD, Air India, and SPICEJET LTD, has formally requested the Indian government to lobby for the removal of these restrictions or consider reciprocal measures against Dubai-based airlines.
