Dexcom maintains annual outlook after quarterly beat
Dexcom reported quarterly revenue of 1.19 billion dollars and reaffirmed its full-year forecast. Strong demand for glucose monitors drove the positive results.
DEXCOM INC maintained its $5.16 billion to $5.25 billion annual revenue forecast after quarterly sales rose 15% to $1.19 billion. The results beat LSEG estimates of $1.18 billion as demand for continuous glucose monitors (CGM) remained healthy. Investors are weighing steady growth against intensifying competition and a 4.3% drop in late evening trading.
### CGM Adoption Drives Sales Growth Demand for finger-prick-free technology pushed adjusted quarterly profit to 56 cents per share, exceeding the 47 cents per share expected by LSEG. DEXCOM INC attributed the growth to rising diabetes care awareness and wider insurance coverage for its devices. During the quarter, the manufacturer expanded the United States launch of its G7 15-day sensor.
