Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Lorie Logan said current monetary policy is likely neutral or loose, suggesting a need for higher interest rates. Logan noted that while inflation is heading toward 2.5%, it remains above the 2% target. Logan stated that the economy requires at least mildly restrictive policy to finish the job of cooling price pressures.
