Croda International announced today that it has set a target for its adjusted group operating margin to exceed 20% by 2028. The announcement, made alongside the company’s annual results, comes as the United Kingdom GBGB specialty-chemicals firm continues a multi-year turnaround focused on profitability and cost-control. The 2028 objective follows a period of operational overhauls and the implementation of tighter procurement processes designed to streamline the business.
The company reported an adjusted pretax profit of 276.2 million pounds for the period, a figure that beat the 267.8 million pounds projected in a company-compiled analyst poll. This financial performance was achieved despite a challenging environment characterized by weakened demand linked to United States USUS tariffs and persistent client destocking. These headwinds have impacted several of the company’s core sectors, including the beauty industry, agriculture industry, and pharmaceutical industry.
