China is moving to further diversify its energy import sources and expand its strategic reserves to bolster national security during emergencies. Wang Changlin, vice chair of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated on Friday that the government is taking proactive steps to mitigate global supply chain disruptions.
The global energy landscape has faced significant instability since the conflict involving Iran began on February 28.
