CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK-H announced on Friday that its net profit for 2025 rose by 1% compared to the previous year. The lender reported a net profit of 338.906 billion yuan ($49.04 billion), exceeding the 334.40 billion yuan forecast by analysts in an LSEG compilation. The results highlight the bank's performance within China and its broader operations, including those in Hong Kong. The bank's net interest margin, which serves as a primary gauge of profitability, saw a modest contraction toward the end of the year. This metric fell to 1.34% by late December, down from the 1.36% reported at the end of September. Conversely, the institution saw an improvement in its asset quality. The non-performing loan ratio declined to 1.31% at the end of December, a slight decrease from the 1.32% recorded three months earlier.
