GEELY AUTOMOBILE HOLDINGS LT has set a 2030 sales target of 6.5 million vehicles, while BYD CO LTD -A has informed investors of its goal to generate half of its total sales from international markets by the same year. Technological innovation is expected to play a critical role in Changan's future lineup. The company plans to launch two fully electric sedans in 2027 equipped with sodium-ion batteries supplied by CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHN-A. Although sodium-ion technology currently offers lower energy density than lithium-ion batteries—limiting the range of these upcoming sedans to approximately 400 kilometers—the use of salt-based materials makes them significantly more cost-effective to produce at scale.
