Canada is working to conclude a free-trade agreement with the South American Mercosur bloc by the autumn, according to statements made by the country's minister of international trade. Maninder Sidhu shared the updated timeline during a World Trade Organization ministerial conference held in Cameroon, noting a collective push to finalize the deal.
The minister explained that the negotiating parties are looking to increase the frequency of their discussions to ensure the deadline is met.
