Thailand will join a United Nations maritime arbitration process with Cambodia to resolve a long-standing dispute over offshore energy resources. The move follows Cambodia's launch of a compulsory conciliation process under UNCLOS after Thailand ended a 2001 framework pact. Resolution would unlock an estimated 12 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and large volumes of oil valued at $300 billion.
