Gridworks, a British GBGBgovernment-owned investor in Africa’s electricity networks, signed agreements on Monday to develop and invest in two high-voltage transmission projects in Ethiopia ETETworth around $400 million. The signing ceremony took place during an official visit by the foreign minister of the United Kingdom, Yvette Cooper yvette cooper. These projects represent the first public-private partnerships in the transmission network of Ethiopia, signaling a significant structural change in the energy sector of the nation.
