Brazilian egg exports achieved a record-breaking milestone in 2025, with volumes reaching 40,894 metric tons, marking a 121.4% increase from the previous year. This surge in exports generated a revenue of $97.2 million, representing a 147.5% rise over 2024. The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) released the data on January 8, 2026, highlighting a significant shift in the country's agricultural trade dynamics.
The growth in Brazilian egg exports comes despite the imposition of U.S. tariffs on a range of Brazilian products, which took effect in August 2024. Initially, these tariffs constrained growth, but they prompted Brazilian exporters to diversify their markets. As a result, Brazil successfully expanded its egg trade to countries such as Japan
JP, Chile
CL, Mexico
MX, and the United Arab Emirates
AE. According to ABPA, shipments to Japan accelerated significantly in the final months of 2025, signaling a promising new market opportunity.
