A Brazilian federal court has reinstated a judicial order requiring authorities to free up access to the Santarem river port terminal, a facility in Para state where United States USUS grain trader Cargill operates. The ruling, signed by federal judge Shamyl Cipriano, restores a court-ordered obligation on the Brazilian government to clear truck traffic after indigenous protesters blocked the route. This decision reverses a recent overturn of the prior order and addresses an ongoing blockade that has disrupted truck access to the grain terminal.
