BOSCH LTD posted a nearly 3% rise in fourth-quarter profit to 5.69 billion rupees ($58.77 million), up from 5.54 billion rupees a year earlier, on Wednesday. The result follows a 13% jump in operational revenue to 55.66 billion rupees during the period ended March. Strong demand for passenger vehicles and consumer electronics in India is offsetting a 29% surge in raw material costs.

### Automotive Demand Offsets Rising Input Costs The Indian unit of Germany-based Robert Bosch saw its automotive segment grow 17% to 48.75 billion rupees. This division remains the primary revenue driver, benefiting from a year-on-year increase in passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle sales.
