The EBIT margin in its core automotive segment reached 5.0%, exceeding the 4.7% forecast by consensus. This performance comes even as the margin narrowed from 6.9% a year earlier—a 1.9-percentage-point decline that reflects a 25% drop in the year-over-year margin rate.
