BlackRock CEO Larry Fink 2025 Pay Rises to $37.7 Million
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink earned $37.7 million in 2025 as assets reached $14 trillion. The pay rise follows a year where profits beat analyst estimates.
The compensation for Larry Fink, the chief executive of BlackRock, Inc., rose to $37.7 million for the 2025 fiscal year. According to a proxy filing released on Friday, this figure represents a significant increase from the $30.8 million he received in 2024, following a period of record growth for the world's largest asset manager. The total pay package for the executive included a base salary of $1.5 million and a cash bonus of $10.6 million. The primary driver behind the year-over-year raise was a $6.5 million increase in stock awards granted to Fink. These adjustments come as the firm reported its assets under management climbed to a record $14 trillion by January. In a letter addressed to investors, Fink expressed confidence in the company's trajectory and strategic positioning for the coming year. > "We're entering 2026 with elevated momentum and we're positioned ahead of significant future opportunities." Financially, the firm exceeded market expectations in the final quarter of 2025, reporting a net profit of $2.18 billion when excluding specific one-time charges. Despite these strong earnings, the company's stock has faced volatility. While shares of BlackRock rose by 4.5% throughout 2025, they have declined by more than 12% in the early months of 2026. The executive compensation levels have previously drawn scrutiny from proxy advisers. Last year, Institutional Shareholder Services advised investors to vote against the pay packages for top leadership. However, the firm later confirmed that 67% of the votes cast were in favor of the executive compensation plan. This report was compiled with contributions from Bengaluru, India.
