The central bank of Spain has updated its macroeconomic projections, raising the growth forecast for 2026 to 2.3% while trimming the 2027 outlook to 1.7%. This adjustment reflects the impact of higher energy prices and geopolitical tensions stemming from the conflict involving Iran. The 2026 baseline scenario was previously set at 2.2%, following a year of significant expansion in 2025 when the economy grew by 2.8%.
