Bangladesh's central bank launched a 600 billion taka ($5 billion) stimulus package to revive shuttered factories and boost industrial production. National economic growth slowed to 3% in the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, down from 3.5% a year earlier. The program targets the garment sector, which generates 80% of export earnings, to protect 250,000 jobs and restore business confidence.
