Shares in Sweden-based AUTOLIV INC, the world's largest manufacturer of airbags and seatbelts, rose 9% on Friday after the company reported first-quarter earnings that surpassed analyst expectations. The company achieved an adjusted operating profit of $245 million, beating the $209 million mean forecast from analysts, despite a slight drop from the $255 million recorded in the same period last year. The adjusted operating margin for the quarter was 8.9%.
