The United Kingdom supermarket chain Asda has reported a 33% decline in its annual core profit, a result the company attributes to an aggressive price-cutting strategy aimed at reclaiming market share. For the 2025 fiscal year, the retailer posted an adjusted EBITDA of 764 million pounds ($1.02 billion), down from the previous year, while total sales excluding fuel fell by 3.3% to 21.0 billion pounds.
