Arcline Makes Cash Offer for UK Aerospace Firm Senior
Senior received a cash offer from Arcline on Thursday as bidding for the UK firm intensifies. The aerospace supplier continues talks with multiple parties.
The aerospace engineering firm Senior plc, based in the United Kingdom, has confirmed that Arcline Investment Management has submitted a preliminary all-cash acquisition proposal. This new bid adds to a growing list of interested parties as the company evaluates its strategic options. Senior plc previously disclosed in February that it had received five distinct proposals, with private equity firms Advent International and a consortium involving Tinicum and Blackstone Inc. among the identified bidders. As a key supplier to major aircraft manufacturers including The Boeing Company and Airbus SE, Senior plc occupies a significant position in the global aerospace supply chain. Although the specific financial terms of the recent offers have not been made public by Senior plc or the bidders, the company maintained a market valuation of approximately 1.26 billion pounds ($1.68 billion) as of the close of business on Wednesday. The interest from Arcline Investment Management was first reported by Bloomberg News, following an announcement by the Tinicum-Blackstone Inc. group regarding their own intent to acquire the supplier. Senior plc has stated that talks with multiple potential buyers are continuing.
