APPLE INC is reportedly encountering significant engineering challenges during the testing phase of its first foldable iPhone. According to a report from Nikkei Asia, these setbacks could potentially disrupt the mass production timeline and push back the initial shipment schedule for the highly anticipated device.

The engineering development issues identified during the test phase might lead to delays of several months in a worst-case scenario. Sources familiar with the matter indicated that the early production stages have revealed more complications than originally anticipated.
It is true that more issues than expected have emerged during the early test production phase, and additional time will be needed to resolve them and make necessary adjustments.
Earlier reports suggested that the company intended to focus on a flagship launch in the second half of 2026.
