Tesla First Quarter Deliveries Projected to Rise 10 Percent
Tesla is expected to report a 10 percent rise in first quarter deliveries. Analysts project 368,900 units amid strong demand in France and the Nordics.
TESLA INC is projected to report a nearly 10% increase in first-quarter deliveries compared to a year-earlier slump. The electric vehicle manufacturer is expected to release its delivery figures before the market opens on Thursday, following a period where sales were previously impacted by public reaction to executive rhetoric. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha anticipate that the company will deliver approximately 368,900 vehicles during the January–March period. This figure represents a 9.6% growth from the previous year, though it reflects an 11.8% sequential decline from the fourth quarter. An average of 23 estimates compiled by the company suggests a delivery target of 365,645 units. Demand is currently facing pressure from intensifying competition in China and Europe, alongside the expiration of a $7,500 federal tax credit in the United States that ended in September. Despite these challenges, recent data shows significant momentum in certain regions. New registrations in France tripled in March, nearing a two-year record, while registrations in Nordic countries more than doubled. While Wall Street estimates still suggest modest growth for the full year, market sentiment has shifted recently, with some analysts now predicting a potential decline. According to Visible Alpha data, analysts expect total deliveries of 1.7 million vehicles this year, rising to 1.84 million units by 2027. The company is increasingly looking beyond its core automotive business, focusing on solar energy, humanoid robots, and autonomous robotaxis as the next primary pillars of its operations.
