Admiral Group reports 16 percent rise in annual profit
The British insurer reported a pre-tax profit of 957.9 million pounds for 2025. This growth was supported by resilient motor underwriting and customer gains.
Admiral Group plc reported a 16% increase in annual pre-tax profit on Thursday, driven by sustained customer growth and resilient underwriting within its core United Kingdom motor insurance operations. The Cardiff-based insurer posted a group pre-tax profit of 957.9 million pounds ($1.28 billion) for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, a significant rise from the 826.5 million pounds recorded in the previous year. This performance reflects the company's ability to maintain strong margins despite broader economic pressures affecting the insurance sector. Management attributed the positive results to a disciplined approach to underwriting and an expanding policyholder base, which helped offset rising costs. The motor insurance segment remains the primary contributor to the group's financial health, benefiting from strategic pricing adjustments and operational efficiencies throughout the reporting period.
