The Asian Development Bank (ADB) unveiled a $70 billion program on May 3 to expand energy and digital infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region by 2035. ADB President Masato Kanda announced the initiative in Uzbekistan as Pacific nations face fuel shortages linked to the war involving Iran. Regional growth is projected to slow to 2.8% in 2026, down from 4.2% last year, threatening long-term investment stability.
