Acerinox reports 47 million euro loss in fourth quarter
Spanish steelmaker Acerinox posted a 47 million euro net loss for the fourth quarter on Friday. Low seasonal demand and price pressures impacted the results.
The Spanish steelmaker ACERINOX SA reported a net loss for the fourth quarter, citing a combination of weak seasonal demand and broader economic headwinds. The company, headquartered in Spain, faced significant challenges including tariff tensions and persistent price pressures within the global stainless steel market.

According to the financial report released on Friday, Acerinox booked a net loss of 47 million euros, which is approximately $55 million, for the quarter. This figure marks a substantial downturn from the 63 million euro net profit reported during the same period the previous year. The company attributed the decline to low seasonal demand for stainless steel and the impact of international trade tensions. The transition from a profitable quarter to a loss highlights the volatility currently facing industrial manufacturers as they navigate shifting market dynamics and rising costs.
