China Top Lawmaker Addresses Boao Forum on Global Economy
Zhao Leji addressed the Boao Forum today and urged peaceful conflict resolution. He also pledged to open China's economy and treat foreign firms more fairly.
Zhao Leji, the top lawmaker and third-highest ranking official within the Communist Party of China, addressed the Boao Forum on Thursday. The international summit, frequently described as Asia's equivalent to the World Economic Forum in Davos, served as a platform for regional leaders to discuss pressing geopolitical and economic issues. Among the attendees was Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore, who delivered an address to the gathering. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok of South Korea provided his remarks via a video link, having cancelled his scheduled appearance in light of the war in Iran.
