XCEL ENERGY INC posted adjusted Q1 profit of 91 cents per share, narrowly beating analyst estimates of 90 cents per share. Revenue in the United States rose to $4.02 billion from $3.91 billion a year ago. Surging AI data center demand is driving infrastructure investment despite higher financing costs and warm weather.
### Data Centers Offset Higher Interest Costs Xcel Energy electric segment revenue rose 5% to $2.98 billion. This growth helped mitigate a 2.4% decline in natural gas revenue, which fell to $1.03 billion. Higher recovery of electric infrastructure investments and stronger sales volumes supported the bottom line during the quarter.
