Global Markets Reach Record Highs Amid Tech Sector Gains
Global shares hit record highs today as Nvidia's results boosted Asian markets while Europe remained subdued. Investors are also watching key U.S.-Iran talks.
World equity markets reached record highs on Thursday as concerns over artificial intelligence disruption continued to diminish. While the technology sector fueled significant gains in Asia, European markets showed more restraint amid a mix of corporate earnings reports.
In Singapore, analysts observed that the momentum from NVIDIA Corporation results helped lift the Nikkei in Japan and the KOSPI in South Korea to all-time peaks. The chipmaker provided revenue guidance of $78 billion for the first quarter, reflecting sustained demand for AI infrastructure. However, the initial rally in the United States slowed after a conference call provided few new details on future revenue or cash returns.
