The United States administration has clarified that it does not currently hold a position on reports regarding a potential merger between UNITED AIRLINES HOLDINGS INC and AMERICAN AIRLINES GROUP INC. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt informed reporters on Wednesday that while the concept has been discussed within the private sector, it has not prompted a formal response or evaluation from the executive branch.
"I know its an idea that has been proposed by private industry, but its not something the president or the White House have an opinion on or are weighing in on."
