US small business sentiment falls in May on inflation
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index fell to 95.3 in May as owners faced rising energy costs and geopolitical uncertainty. A record share of businesses plan to raise prices over the next three months while hiring intentions dropped to the lowest level since May 2020.
