The United States SEC delayed more than 24 prediction-market ETFs from Roundhill, GraniteShares, and Bitwise. It is the first major regulatory hurdle for funds tracking real-world events like elections and recessions. Approval would allow retail investors to trade binary outcomes as easily as traditional stocks.
The SEC review period for these funds was scheduled to expire this week. Two people familiar with the matter said the delay is likely temporary while the agency gathers more information on product mechanics.
