US extends Lukoil international asset deadline to April 1
The United States has moved the deadline for companies to negotiate for Lukoil assets to April 1. This extension follows sanctions placed on the Russian firm.
The United States government has extended the timeline for potential buyers to negotiate for the international assets of PJSC Lukoil. According to an Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) document reviewed on Thursday, the deadline has been moved to April 1, extending it from the previous cutoff at the end of February. This move follows sanctions imposed on the major producer from Russia by the Trump administration last year. The extension provides additional time for interested parties to navigate the regulatory requirements involved in acquiring the sanctioned firm's global holdings.
