Finance ministers from the United Kingdom and Australia have signed a new agreement to boost the flow of capital from Australian pension funds into British infrastructure, housing, and energy projects. British Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers formalized the partnership through a memorandum of understanding during the International Monetary Fund and World Bank spring meetings in Washington.
At a time of global uncertainty, this deal strengthens the UKs economic security by cementing cooperation with a like-minded nation and setting clear direction for future investment.
