The United States military conducted strikes on Friday against military targets on Kharg Island, a critical hub for Iran that facilitates approximately 90% of the country's oil exports. President Donald Trump stated on social media that U.S. forces had destroyed all military targets on the island, warning that energy infrastructure could be targeted next if Tehran continues to interfere with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, where 20% of global oil flows.
