Turkey TRTR and Ethiopia ETET signed a memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation on February 17, 2026, during an official visit by President Tayyip Erdogan to Addis Ababa. The agreement was concluded at a ceremony following talks between President Erdogan and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, marking the Turkish leader's first visit to the country in 11 years.
