TSX hits four-week high as resource shares lead gains

The TSX reached a four-week high on Tuesday led by gains in energy and mining sectors. Investors are awaiting a U.S. deadline for Iran to end its oil blockade.

Canada's primary stock index climbed to a four-week high on Tuesday, as gains in resource-linked shares outweighed declines in the technology and consumer sectors. The S&P/TSX Composite Index finished the session with a gain of 55.55 points, or 0.2%, closing at 33,237.52, its highest level since March 10.
