The main stock index in Canada recorded its most significant weekly advance since November, bolstered by a surge in energy prices as geopolitical tensions weighed on global markets. On Thursday, the S&P/TSX Composite Index climbed 150.27 points, or 0.5%, to close at 33,108.22, marking its highest finish since mid-March. Over the course of the holiday-shortened trading week, the index rose 3.6% ahead of the Good Friday market closure.
