Trump reports Iran released ten tankers in Strait of Hormuz

United States President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that Iran permitted ten oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz as a goodwill gesture during ongoing negotiations. Speaking at a Cabinet meeting in the White House, Trump provided details on the arrangement, which he had previously described as a present from Tehran.

The president explained that the initial understanding involved eight large vessels, but the final count increased to ten. He noted that some of the ships were identified as being from Pakistan.
They said, to show you the fact that were real and solid and were there, were going to let you have eight boats of oil, eight boats, eight big boats of oil.
Trump remarked that the arrival of the tankers confirmed the sincerity of the gesture and the nationality of the vessels involved.
I guess they were right, and they were real, and I think they were Pakistani-flagged... It ended up being 10 boats.
Developments in the Strait of Hormuz are closely watched by global energy markets and industrial firms like Oiles Corporation, which track maritime security and the flow of resources through critical shipping lanes.
