Trump says he will remember firms avoiding tariff refunds
Trump said he will remember companies that do not seek refunds for tariffs ruled illegal. He labeled those pursuing the funds as enemies of the United States.
President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he would "remember" companies that choose not to seek refunds for tariffs previously deemed illegal by the Supreme Court. Speaking during a live interview as the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency began accepting electronic applications for the refunds, the president suggested that abstaining from the process would be viewed favorably by his administration. Trump expressed approval of reports indicating that major corporations, including APPLE INC and AMAZON.COM INC, have not yet applied for the funds. The president has frequently framed the payment of these tariffs as a patriotic duty and a means of strengthening the national economy.
"Its brilliant if they dont do that."
