TP ICAP Reports 3.6 Percent Rise in Annual Pretax Profit
The broker reported a 3.6 percent rise in annual profit to 314 million pounds. High market volatility and strong electronic trading boosted the 2025 results.
The world's largest inter-dealer broker, TP ICAP Group PLC, reported a 3.6% increase in annual pre-tax profit for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. The growth was primarily fueled by heightened market volatility and robust performance within its global broking and Liquidnet electronic trading divisions.
The firm recorded an adjusted pre-tax profit of 314 million pounds ($420.26 million), rising from 303 million pounds in the previous year. This financial uplift comes as brokerage firms continue to benefit from erratic global market conditions, which have been further intensified by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. These geopolitical tensions have triggered significant fluctuations across equities, oil, and currency markets.
