TikTok Settles Alabama Teen Health Lawsuit

TikTok reached a settlement with United States state Alabama on Friday, agreeing to pay a minimum of $100M to resolve claims over teen mental health harms. The deal marks TikTok's first statewide settlement ahead of trial as 27 other jurisdictions pursue similar litigation. The agreement averts a scheduled trial that would have exposed internal platform operations to public scrutiny.
