US liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. According to Sandeep Kumar Gupta sandeep kumar gupta, the Chairman of GAIL (India) Limited, three firms are currently vying for the opportunity to sell up to a 26% stake in an LNG liquefaction plant. This ongoing procurement process, which was first initiated last year, is linked to a long-term gas import contract that would secure 1 million metric tons of LNG per year for the Indian market.
