Thai February Exports Rise 9.9 Percent Below Forecasts

Thailand's exports grew 9.9% in February, supported by electronics demand but missing market forecasts. The country recorded a $2.83 billion trade deficit.

Thailand reported a 9.9% year-on-year increase in customs-cleared exports for February, driven primarily by the electronics and electrical equipment sectors. Although the figures indicate continued expansion, the growth rate fell short of the 15.8% rise anticipated by analysts in a Reuters poll and represents a slowdown from the 24.4% surge seen in January.
