New car registrations for TESLA INC in Portugal recorded a slight decrease in March, according to the latest data from the industry association ACAP. The automaker saw 1,189 units registered, representing a 1.7% decline compared to the same month last year. This minor downturn occurred even as the broader market for fully-electric vehicles expanded, with total registrations in that category rising 24% to 6,704 units. For the first quarter of the year, Tesla's performance remained strong. Between January and March, sales for the brand increased by 27.1%, totaling 2,726 vehicles. This growth rate is largely in line with the overall expansion of the electric vehicle market during the first three months of the year.
