Swiss Watch Exports Grow 9.2 Percent on Strong US Demand
Swiss watch exports rose 9.2 percent to 2.2 billion francs in February. Growth was led by the U.S. and France before any impact from the Middle East conflict.
Swiss watch exports recorded a notable recovery in February, buoyed by robust demand from major international markets. According to data released by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH), the sector saw a return to growth driven primarily by consumers in the West and parts of Asia. Total exports from Switzerland reached 2.2 billion francs, representing a 9.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
The current exchange rate for the US Dollar / Swiss Franc pair remains a factor for international buyers, though the appetite for luxury timepieces appears resilient. The United States led the charge as the top market, with export values surging by 26.8% year-on-year. This acceleration follows a period of volatility linked to shifting trade policies.
